Manufacturing Process

Carbon Extraction

From the entrusted hair, ashes, or pet fur, we carefully extract the carbon that becomes the source of the diamond. Through high-temperature treatment, unnecessary elements are removed, leaving only pure carbon. This carbon transforms into fine particles—the essential foundation of a diamond's brilliance. The feelings held within ashes or pet fur are elevated through this step into "pure light," the first and most important step toward creating a one-of-a-kind, colorless diamond.

Diamond Crystallization

allowing the entrusted carbon to grow into a diamond. At the moment of crystallization, a small "diamond seed" is introduced. The carbon gradually bonds to the seed, eventually growing into a large diamond with unique brilliance. Like a star being born, a singular gemstone emerges—formed slowly within a capsule, over time, into an irreplaceable diamond.

Cutting

Once crystallization is complete, the raw diamond is shaped by skilled artisans. This crucial step brings the diamond closer to its true form. Each stone is engraved with a unique identification number and carefully tracked to ensure zero risk of mix-ups.

Polishing & Finishing

After cutting, artisans polish the diamond by hand to bring out its true brilliance. With strict standards as a guide, each diamond is meticulously finished into an everlasting form of beauty.

Just as natural diamonds are evaluated under the international "4C" standard, MEMODIA JAPAN applies equally rigorous criteria. Every diamond is inspected in Japan by GIA-certified gemologists. To ensure complete trust, each diamond is matched with a unique identification code, eliminating any risk of mix-ups or misdelivery. All inspections and verifications are conducted in Japan, removing unnecessary intermediaries and enabling us to provide both uncompromising quality and fair, transparent pricing.

Although there is no direct scientific method (such as DNA testing) to prove origin after formation, MEMODIA JAPAN ensures strict traceability:
Unique Identification Number: Every sample is assigned a serial number and tracked through the entire process, eliminating mix-ups.
Certificates & Process Records: Upon completion, we issue a certificate and process album. Third-party certification (e.g., Central Gem Laboratory) is also available upon request.
